Selena Gomez can count on David Henrie. The former child star had dinner at this famous Japanese restaurant on Jan. 26 and by the looks of a pic snapped during their meet up, it appears they are having a serious conversation. But if you thought there might be a love connection, HollywoodLife.com has spoken to an insider who tells us that these two are just friends.

Although it appears as though they were on a date, HollywoodLife.com can tell you that they are just friends.
“Selena trusts David very much and they have been friends forever,” a source tells us. “There isn’t anything more romantic going on with them, it would be a shock if they dated because they are like brother and sister in real life as well.”

But it is worth noting that they were enthralled in a conversation, and we can’t help but assume it was not about a Wizards of Waverly Place reunion.
This is not the first time these old friends have grabbed sushi. In June they also went to a Japanese restaurant with several friends.

Justin Drives Selena To Tears

Selena grabbed a bite to eat with Demi Lovato, at Craig’s in Los Angeles on Jan. 24 and began to cry. HollywoodLife.com has learned that Selena is still very heartbroken over Justin and isn’t taking Justin’s new relationship with Chantel Jeffries lightly.
“She was crying over Justin and him being with Chantel,” an eyewitness tells us. “She is still very heartbroken. Vanessa was comforting her, hugging her, and telling her to ‘forget about him.’”
In the meantime, Demi spoke out and said that Selena is doing “really well.”
“Any advice I had for her, we talked last night and — you know — it’s between us. But I love her so much,” Demi told On Air with Ryan Seacrest at KIIS-FM’s Grammys pre-party on Jan. 24. “She’s doing really well right now.”
