2009 Office-Chair Racing Championship

The Germans have done it again. We really thought they were a really serious people, focused only on their work, but it turns out they know how to have fun as well.

After they organized the Ice Swimming Festival in Neuburg, early this year, the Germans strike again with the 2009 Office-Chair Racing Championship. The rather unusual racing competition was held, in Bad Koening Zell, in western Germany. Competitors raced on a 200-meter-long course, in basic or modded office-chairs.



The Office-Chair Racing Championship was first held in 2008, but it’s already growing in popularity and, who knows, it could become an Olympic sport pretty soon.

Jordanian Taekwondo Instructor:Amazing Strength

Jordanian taekwondo instructor Mustafa Dasan breaks cement slabs with his elbow in a bid to enter the Guinness Book of World Records during a public show in Amman April 26, 2008.
Dasan, 54 and father of six, on Saturday broke 5,000 kg of marble and cement bricks in one minute and sixteen seconds in the presence of Jordanian referees. In the same event, Mustafa also let another man operates a jackhammer on his stomach.

World's tallest LEGO tower

Standing in the Rathaus Platz in Vienna at almost 100 feet high, constructed with 460,000 blocks, using a crane and several support wires that secured it against strong winds which was ended up being 29,48 meters tall, beating the previous tower of “only” 29,03 meters. it was built by hundreds of children to celebrate the four-day 100 Years of Friends of Children festival. After the record was certified by an official judge from The Guinness Book of Records, the LEGO Tower was dismantled.
