Khloe Kardashian may have thought that she was leaving all the drama behind when she filed for divorce from Lamar Odom on Dec. 13, but as it turns out, making the split official only incited more hard-to-swallow moments.

The divorce has sadly caused a serious rift between the Odom and Kardashian families. Lamar’s dad lashed out at Khloe and her family before the split, and after the documents were filed, his daughter, Destiny, took to her last.fm page to diss the marriage.

Harsh words have also flown between Khloe and Lamar themselves. Besides saying that she was “excited for this year to be over with” to Cosmopolitan UK, Khloe has also released a steady stream of Instagram messages that seemed intricately connected to Lamar. Some messages have sounded vindictive, while others have suggested that Khloe is lonely and sad.

But arguably the most post-breakup development between Khloe and Lamar has been how quickly she dipped her toes into the dating pool again. Around the holidays, just days after Khloe filed for divorce, a romance with Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp started heating up.
“Khloe and Matt snuck off at the end of the night and they got to steal a kiss” at the Kardashian’s family Christmas party, a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. Things were pretty hot and heavy, but to be fair, they have fizzled out. “Khloe told Matt it would look bad for her divorce to be dating so soon,” a source told Us Weekly. “So they have to put on the brakes until it’s finalized. She wants it to remain clear that Lamar was the cheater. Matt understood. Khloe is figuring things out with Matt. She thinks he’s great.”
It’s unfortunate that in trying to get away from scandals, Khloe has only run into more, but there’s no doubt that in the long run, the divorce will bring the reality star some peace of mind.
